Ensure that the SIM card is inserted in the below slot

Reboot the card terminal by holding down the yellow and full stop keys on the keypad at the same time.
The SIM card is set to roaming which means that it will automatically pick up the network with the strongest signal in the area where the card terminal is used.
The top-left hand corner of the screen will indicate how strong the signal is and also what network the SIM card is pointing to currently.
If the terminal at this point is showing no network ensure that the terminal is charging and that the battery in the back of the terminal is connected properly.
