Ensure that the terminal is displaying either a Wi-Fi or SIM connection in the top-right hand corner of the screen.
Otherwise please follow the relevant connection troubleshooting.

Login to the till.
Select the icon with the 3 lines in the top-left hand corner of the screen.

Select Settings.
Ensure that "Enable PAX Payments" is toggled on as below.

Put through a test sale on your till to test if it pulls through to the card terminal.
