Elavon VeriFone v240 Battery Troubleshooting
Ensure that the battery is connected properly in the back of the terminal. If any of the wires connecting the battery to the terminal are frayed (copper wire exposed) please take a picture of this and e-mail to tech.support@card-saver.co.uk. A support agent will contact you as soon as possible.
Otherwise please follow the below:
Leaving it plugged in to charge, take the back of the machine off
Remove the battery altogether (the machine should stay on as long as the power cable is still connected)
With the battery still out and the charger still in, hold the red "X" on the keypad
This should take you to the power panel, from here, select reboot/restart
Wait until the machine comes back onto the sale screen
Again, with the charger still in, re-insert the battery
Once the battery is back in and charger still in, hold the red "X" again and select reboot/restart again
Once it comes on, this should display the true battery percentage as the above are steps for resetting the battery
Charge the terminal until the battery is up to 100%.
