Elavon VeriFone v240 GPRS No SIM Present

Reboot the card terminal by holding down the red cross button on the keypad. This will display a power panel after 5-10 seconds. Select Reboot/Restart.

On the sale screen, press the grey box at the bottom of the screen.

Select Management.

Select Settings.

Select Communication.

Enter your terminal password followed by the green button.

If Mobile Data displays as "up" then please try a 1p transaction to test. 

Otherwise we need to do a restart of the GPRS interface.

Select More.

Select Configuration.

Select Start/Restart Network Interface

Select Mobile Data.

If the terminal displays interface started, try a 1p transaction. 

If "No SIM Present" displays again follow the below:

Hold down the red x button on the keypad to display the power panel. Press shutdown.

Take the battery cover off the back of the terminal and place the SIM card into SIM slot 2 instead as below:

Please note you may need to remove the battery to get the SIM card in.

Hold down the green button on the terminal keypad to power the terminal back on.

On the sale screen, press the grey box at the bottom of the screen.

Select Management.

Select Settings.

Select Communication.

Enter your terminal password followed by the green button.

Select More.

Select Configuration.

Select Network Interface

Select Mobile Data

Press Select SIM Slot.

The terminal will show a "change will disable mobile network" error. Press ok.

Select SIM Slot 2.

Press Ok.

Select Mobile Settings.

Swipe up on the screen and ensure that SIM slot is set to "Currently selected SIM slot".

Press save.

Press Ok.

Press Yes on the apply settings screen.

If successful the terminal should show interface started. Press Ok.
