A Pre-Auth is when you reserve the funds from your customer. This will then need to be followed by a Completion when you are ready to actually take them.
On the sale screen, press the grey box at the bottom of the screen.

Select Transactions.
Select Reservation
If at this point the Reservation option does not appear please e-mail tech.support@card-saver.co.uk for assistance.
Select Pre-Auth
The terminal will then return to the previous sale screen but it should now say Pre-Auth instead.
Enter the amount for the transaction using the keypad and press the green button.
Present the card.

Keep hold of the receipt as you will need this later.
This will then need to be followed up by a Completion when you are wanting to take the funds from your customer.
On the sale screen, press the grey box at the bottom of the screen.
Select Transactions.
Select Reservation.
Select Pre-Auth Completion.
Enter the host reference number which will be found on the receipt from the initial pre-auth transaction.
Enter the amount.
Present the card.
