What Is PCI and How Does It Work?
PCI DSS stands for Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards. It is an industry security standard for payment card acceptance, and was set up to increase control around cardholder data, and to prevent credit and debit card fraud.
Compliance is required of all merchants and service providers who store, process or transmit cardholder data.
